With the UK games sector reaching a record revenue of £7bn in 2020, and accelerating even further since the start of the pandemic, Dr Jo Twist OBE, CEO at UKIE – The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment joined us to tell us why its time to invest in this sector. Jo helped to bust some of the common myths around the sector including stereotypes with user age and gender demographics, and shared insight into why the sector has been so explosive over the past 18 months, where the possible areas for innovation are and the types of companies you can look to invest in.
During the session Jo also discussed the Invest in Creative toolkit where, alongside many other industry experts and leading investors, she explores the incredible opportunities for backing UK games and creative industry companies.
